2004 STAFF NCAA BRACKET PICKS CONCLUSION!
Cheddar Falls, WI
- Despite being the only Sportalicious! staffer with a pick
still alive in the NCAA Hoops Tourney final,
golf correspondent and former Iraqi Minister Of Information
Mohamed Saeed al-Sahhaf
was legally prevented from winning the pool because he is
not yet an American citizen and is actually still considered
an enemy of the United States. Al-Sahhaf had Georgia
Tech taking it all. No one else even had a team
in the final game and in fact only fantasy columnist Alan
Castagna wasn't eliminated completely after Week One.
Castagna, a bit of a prick and universally despised by the
rest of the staff, had Duke going to the
championship but would have been foiled on a trumped-up
technicality had Duke won.
Al-Sahhaf forfeited a $35-dollar kitty and a week of free
donuts and coffee from Fast Eddie's Pump 'n Go. "This
is not right, I need the warmth of the caffeinated beverage,"
said a visibly shaken al-Sahhaf, "it is still cold
in this part of Wisconsin! Hot beverage is a must! Why is
it still cold? I love America, except for the cold. I will
take your stupid Test of Citizen Knowledge and next year
I will rightfully claim my free hot beverage and fried cylinders
of tasty dough!"
