OK. This isn't our real headquarters.
Where would you put a back deck on this baby? |
Cheddar Falls, WI - ESPN
won its lawsuit Monday afternoon against Sportalicious!,
claiming the website's "S-Pee" awards were somehow
an infringement on the network's little-known "Espy"
Awards. The decision required Sportalicious to pay ESPN
a percentage of its assets, but Sportalicious has no assets
save for a $7 return deposit on a propane tank sitting on
its back deck. Because of this, ESPN has filed a lien on
Sportalicious! property -- but in so doing they have inadvertently
lifted the original court ruling and until the lien is in
place, Sportalicious may use the name "S-Pees."
The show is set to air March 26th from the Trailways Bus
Maintenance Depot in Las Vegas, though the musical guest
is once again up in the air after Hotley Brue, a Motley
Crue tribute band, withdrew. "The Accordion championships
are that weekend in Vegas, so I'm not too worried,"
said Sportalicious! managing editor Chet Waterhouse.
