Pastels in Pit Row
Las Vegas, NV- Matt Kenseth won the UAW Chrysler 400 Sunday with a substitute pit crew made up entirely of showgirls from Ceasar's Palace. Kenseth's regular pit crew fell ill after setting a new "all you can eat shrimp" record at Caesar's Marianas Seafood Trench, so the casino handpicked showgirls who had dated gearheads. The girls could not match Kenseth's regular pit crew on timing, but they caused Michael Waltrip, Buddy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Rusty Wallace, Sterling Marlin, Bobby Labonte, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and several others to crash coming out of the pits, leaving only Kenseth and 79-year-old Richard Petty on the track for the last 41 laps.
